After your purchase, you will receive a Climate Action Certificate documenting your contribution to climate action. This certificate confirms your purchase and commitment to environmental impact.
How are my carbon credits retired?
To ensure efficient processing and maximize impact, we retire carbon credits in consolidated batches. Your credits will be retired no later than the end of the calendar year following your purchase. For example, credits purchased in 2024 will be retired by the end of 2025.
Can I get an retirement certificate from the registry?
Yes, individual retirements are available for purchases of 1,000 tonnes or more. If you require an individual retirement for your carbon credits, please contact our team to discuss your specific needs.
What documentation will I receive?
You will receive:
- An immediate purchase confirmation
- A Climate Action Certificate detailing your contribution
- A link to an online version of the Climate Action Certificate. This is sharable and always up to date, and includes access to project information and impact metrics
- Retirement confirmation documentation according to the schedule
When will my retirement be completed?
Your retirement will be completed according to our Retirement Schedule, which ensures all credits are retired by the end of the calendar year following your purchase. This batched approach allows us to process retirements efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of verification.
